This Lahu purse with handle – laithai purple is made of back-strap woven fabric by Lahu hill tribe communities in northern Thailand. The Lahu women do the back-strap weaving, foot-treadle looms and patch work trims while the men are skilled in producing musical instruments, basketry and other items made of bamboos. Buying this product provides the Lahu communities with rural employment and support their families.
